• Curriculum

Hobby School was the first to introduce the international AP curriculum and dual English-Mongolian learning into Mongolia. We pride ourselves in academics, and do our utmost best to ensure a comfortable learning environment for students and teachers alike.
    • General Studies

At its core, Hobby School uses the official Mongolian state curriculum for all subjects. We believe in our national foundations to shape who we become, so Hobby students take Mongolian classes throughout their twelve years of secondary education.
      • IPC

      • Hobby School uses the International Primary Curriculum for 1st-5th grade. The curriculum is designed by the International Curriculum Association, and regularly updated through educational research. The courses are made to be rigorous, but also fun!

        • ENTRY POINT

        • The entry point happens at the beginning of each term, and covers the wIDer theme of the unit to follow. It provides an exciting introduction for students as a big, fun activity.

        • EXIT POINT

        • The exit point happens at the end of each term, and highlights a turning point when the students become the teachers! The exit point is an event that showcases the students’ skills, and celebrates what they have learned.

      • IMYC

      • Hobby School uses the International Middle Years Curriculum for the 6th-8th grade. The program encourages critical thinking, and inspires cooperation. IMYC creates students who grow up to become informed, unprejudiced, and enlightened global citizens.

        • ENTRY POINT

        • For IMYC, entry point is more than just a fun introduction activity. The entry point marks a point of exposure for adolescents to see the world in a different perspective, and realize its flaws and merits.

        • EXIT POINT

        • Exit point is an opportunity for students to share the global cultures, places, and issues they’ve learned about. It marks the end of a journey that has broadened the horizons of every student.

      • AP Curriculum

      • Hobby School was the first to introduce the Advanced Placement Curriculum in Mongolia. AP classes offer a unique academic challenge that lets students take on college level courses, which are transferable as future credits.
